Updated over a year ago

As we wrap up the first quarter of the year, we want to share some recent updates from the Fibbl tech department.

Product Banner in VTO and ARP Experiences

We have added the possibility for you as a merchant to show which product the end consumer is testing or exploring in the virtual try-on and augmented reality placement experience. So, when the customer tries on a pair of shoes or glasses or explores a bag or any item in their space, they get a banner with a small image of the product, its name, price, and a call-to-action button that takes them to the product page. This is a great conversion element, and we recommend that you enable it right away. Is the product banner not showing in your Fibbl experiences? Take a look at how to Troubleshoot why the product banner is not displayed.

Light Controls in Model Viewer

One of the advantages of displaying your products in a 3D viewer is making it easier for the end consumer to see all the important details. Now we have taken it to the next level and added lighting controls to our 3D viewer. By simply tapping on the buttons, users can easily see what the product looks like in a darker or lighter environment. This feature is added to your 3D viewer by default, and there's no need for development. Enjoy the upgrade!

Background in Model Viewer

Another improvement to the 3D viewer is that you can now decide on the background color yourself. The default color is still white. But if you, like many others, have a gray tone in your regular product images, you can now make sure that the 3D viewer matches it. You simply change this with CSS.

Zoom in Carousel

In our image carousel, it was previously impossible to zoom in on the images to see the product's details. This has now been fixed.

Other Improvements

  • Improved search and filtering on model pages

  • Improved UX/UI in Commerce

  • Added support for sign-up and log-in with Google

Meanwhile, we are wrapping up three significant product news items that we will announce shortly. Psst… one of them is related to AI, and the other two will revolutionize how merchants' e-commerce and marketing experiences will look like in the future. Stay tuned!
