Before placing an order for 3D model production, it’s important to understand how the process works and what we need from your side to ensure a smooth and successful result. This guide outlines the full process, what to prepare in advance, and key shipping instructions.

Shipping address

This is where you’ll send your physical samples once your order request is approved:

Fibbl AB

Frihamnsgatan 30

c/o THE WORKS

115 56 STOCKHOLM

Sweden

Contact person:

What the process looks like

  1. You submit a 3D model order request
This is done by filling out a form in the Fibbl platform. You’ll be asked to provide:

    • Which product category (e.g. shoes or bags)

    • How many products to produce

    • A link to a product list (CSV – Excel/Google Sheet)

    • Visual preferences or style guide (optional)

    • Left, right or bothversion (for shoes)

    • Estimated product arrival date at our Stockholm studio

  2. We review your request
Within 2–3 business days, we’ll review the order. If everything looks good, you’ll receive:

    • A confirmation

    • Estimated production start and delivery date

If anything is missing or unclear, we’ll follow up before approving the request.

  3. You ship your physical samples
Only ship products after your request has been approved and we’ve confirmed your estimated arrival date.

  4. We begin production
Once we’ve received your samples, production begins. Within 3-5 business days, we will update your expected delivery date. You'll be able to track progress and communicate with us directly in the same chat you submitted your request in.

  5. We deliver your models
When production is complete, we’ll ask you to upload return labels and arrange a pickup. All your 3D models, assets, and experiences will be available in the Fibbl platform.

Sample shipping instructions

To ensure the best result in the 3D scanning process, please follow these important guidelines:

  • Send products in mint condition
Any visible dirt, scratches, scuffs, or imperfections will be captured in the 3D model.

  • Avoid damage during shipping
Ship each product in its own box if possible. If that’s not doable, protect items individually to avoid marks or discoloration from rubbing.

  • We scan the product exactly as it arrives
If you expect changes — like swapped laces, updated insoles, or any other physical modification — let us know before shipping. Once scanning is complete, these things can’t be changed.

  • Label each sample
Make sure it’s easy to match each physical product to your product list.

  • Preferred sizes for footwear:
    Women’s: EU size 38
    Men’s: EU size 42
One size up or down is also okay.

  • Returns are handled the same way products arrive
To make things smooth on your end, we return products using the same packaging they came in. This makes return label creation and pickup much easier.

  • We return everything at once to one location by default
If certain products need to be returned earlier or to a different address, just give us a heads-up before production starts so we can plan accordingly.

  • We scan in random order
If specific products need to be prioritized in production, please notify us in advance so we can flag them and coordinate accordingly.

Product info checklist

When submitting your product list (via URL), make sure it includes:

  • Product ID (e.g. SKU, GTIN/EAN, MPN)
→ If multiple IDs are listed, highlight the one we should use as the primary ID.

  • Title

  • Color

  • Gender (for shoes)

  • Dimensions (for bags – W x H x D)

How long does production take?

The short answer: it depends. Production can take anywhere from 24 hours to 4+ weeks — depending on three key factors:

  1. How well-prepared the order is
The more heads-up and accurate information we get upfront, the smoother and faster the process.

  2. Volume of products
Larger batches naturally require more time and coordination.

  3. Complexity of products
A clean fabric sneaker is much quicker to process than, say, a high-gloss shoe with metallic trims and tiny details like rhinestones.

That said, to help you plan better, here’s our general guidance (based on worst-case scenarios):
